About Me

With a background in the arts and social media, Sydney Perry was finally drawn towards a longstanding interest in permaculture after the pandemic changed our ways of working and she moved away from London.

This led to her completing her PDC in 2024 at Community Roots in Cornwall under Jodie Tellam and she is currently a Diploma Apprentice under Dominik Jais of Beyond Buckthorns, Finland.

Her special areas of interest are the intersection of permaculture and digital media, permaculture and psychology, and how mindset, knowledge loss and knowledge reclaimation affects our ability to make holistic and sustainable decisions. Sydney is a proponent of rewilding (done while still balancing human interests!) and especially passionate about the conservation of birds of prey in the UK and worldwide. Outside of this, you can find her searching for underground music and grabbing a chance to surf when possible.
